Porter County is located in the U.S. state of Indiana. The county was formed in 1835 and named after Capt. David Porter, hero of the War of 1812. The county seat is Valparaiso. Porter County Recorder’s Office Information

The County Recorder’s Office responsibility is to maintain permanent public records of legal instruments involving real estate, deeds, mortgages, liens, leases, plats, military discharges, personal bonds, and several others.
