Primary functions of the Clerk include filing, recording, and entering all orders pertaining to civil, juvenile, and criminal cases. The County Clerk is also responsible for appointing other members of the County Election Board. The County Clerk is also responsible for voter registration and conducts all elections in the county. The Clerk processes filings of candidacy from persons seeking certain elective public offices and issues certificates of election to successful local candidates.
