Woodford County is a county located in the state of Illinois. The county was formed in Feb. 1841. Named after Woodford County, Kentucky, which was in turn named after General William Woodford, the county seat is Eureka and it has a population of 39273 as of 2013. The county has a total area of 543 square miles, with its land area encompassing 528 square miles, and its water area 15 square miles. The Circuit Clerk’s primary function is to establish, maintain and keep all records of the court and the official court seal.
