Pulaski County is located in the state of Illinois. The county was formed in 1843 and named after Kazimierz Pułaski who was killed at the Siege of Savannah in the Revolutionary War. The county seat is Mound City. As of 2013, the county has a population of 5908. The county has a total area of 203 square miles, 199 square miles of which is land, and 4 square miles is water.
