Macon County, Illinois

Macon County is located in the center of Illinois. Established in 1829, it was named for Nathaniel Macon, a U.S. sentaor from North Carolina. The population was 110,768 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The total area is 586 square miles, and the county seat is Decatur.
