Logan County is located in the state of Illinois. The county was formed in February 15, 1839 and named after John A. Logan. The county seat is Lincoln. As of 2013, the county has a population of 29964. The county has a total area of 619 square miles, 618 square miles of which is land, and 0.9 square miles is water.
