Clark County is located in the U.S. state of Idaho. The county was formed in 1919 and named after Sam K. Clark, an early settler and a member of the Idaho Senate. The county seat is Dubois. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 867 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,765 square miles, of which 1,764 square miles is land and 1.0 square mile is water. Clark County borders the following counties: Lemhi County to the west; Butte County to the southwest; Jefferson County to the south; Fremont County to the east; and Beaverhead County, Montana to the north. Clark County Clerk Office Information

The Clerk of Clark County serves as ex officio Auditor and Recorder and as ex officio Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. The Clerk is responsible for recording all County Documents, including but not limited to deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, etc. The Clerk also issues marriage licenses, alcohol licenses, birth/death certificates and processes all passport applications with the county.
