Camas County is located in the U.S. state of Idaho. The county was formed in 1917 and named after Camassia, an important source of food among Native Americans and early settlers. The county seat is Fairfield. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 1,042 people.
