Boundary County is located in the U.S. state of Idaho. The county was formed in 1915 and named after the Borders Canada on the north. The county seat is Bonners Ferry. Boundary County borders the following counties: Lincoln County, Montana to the east; Bonner County to the south; Pend Oreille County, Washington to the west; and Regional District of Central Kootenay, British Columbia to the north. Boundary County Clerk/Auditor/Recorder Office Information
The County Clerk serves as the ex-officio auditor. The Auditor acts as the County Budget and Accounting Officer. Primary responsibilities are compiling budget requests, submitting the budget to the Board of County Commissioners, recording appropriations made to county agencies, and matching outstanding liabilities against these appropriations and the expenditures made against the appropriations. The Auditor also prepares and remits warrant/checks to employees, vendors, and other persons entitled to payment. The Auditor is the chief accounting officer of the county and is responsible for recording the appropriations made to county agencies. The auditor also keeps accounting records on the revenues, expenditures, and balances in each county fund. The County Auditor works closely with the county treasurer pertaining to the accounting activities. The auditor must keep accounts current with the treasurer.
The Clerk also serves as the Clerk to The Board of Commissioners. The Clerk is responsible for Recording all proceeding of the board, Recording resolutions and decisions on questions concerning the raising of money and allowance of accounts against the county; recording the vote of each member on any question, and preserving and filing all accounts acted upon by the board.
The recorder is responsible for recording, preserving, and indexing a large number of documents. These documents are needed for legal transactions and are referred to by attorneys, real estate brokers, and others in the county. The recorder collects fees for recording and providing copies of legal documents. The Clerk also issues marriage licenses, liquor licenses, birth/death certificates, process passport applications, etc.

Boundary County District Court Information
The clerk of the district court performs duties prescribed in the Idaho Rules of Civil Procedure and in the rules and practices of the court. The clerk of the district court designates a deputy to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the district court. The deputy collects required fees, make entries, and serves as the clerical arm of the court.
