Court Clerk Information
Pursuant to provisions of the Florida Constitutions, which have governed the people for over 150 years, the role of the Clerk of Courts has been established in three main areas;

  • Clerk of the Circuit and County Courts
  • Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, including serving as accountant, auditor, and custodian of county funds.
  • County Recorder

Within these areas, the Clerk of Court as an elected public trustee sets in place at the county level a system of “checks and balances” which has been proven to serve the public well.

The Clerk of Court allows searching of official records and court records, both hosted on different websites linked in the Clerk of Courts website. Official records can be ordered online. Court records can be searched through an online database available. Four access options, the Public one allowing anonymous searching, while the other three requiring a username and password. Public records can be searched in their website, where you can put in several search parameters, like name and date range, and records from different courts can be searched.
