Franklin County is located in the state of Florida. The county was formed in February 8, 1832 and named after Benjamin Franklin. The county seat is Apalachicola. As of 2013, the county has a population of 11598. The county has a total area of 1026 square miles, 535 square miles of which is land, and 492 square miles is water. Franklin County borders the following counties: Liberty County, FL to the north; Gulf County, FL to the west, and; Wakulla County, FL to the northeast.

The property appraiser is responsible for identifying, locating, and fairly valuing all property, both real and personal, within the county for tax purposes. The property appraiser also

Court Clerk Information

The Clerk of Court allows searching of official records and court records, both hosted on different websites linked in the Clerk of Courts website. Official records can be ordered online.
