Delta County is located in the U.S. state of Colorado. The county was formed in 1883 and named after the town of Delta situated in the delta of the Uncompahgre River. The county seat is Delta. The County Clerk serves as the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The duties and responsibilities of the County Clerk are issuing marriage licenses, marriage certificates, birth certificates, death certificates, civil union licenses, liquor licenses, vehicle registrations and titling.
