Yuba County is located in the state of California. The county was formed in February 18, 1850 and named after Yuba River. The county seat is Marysville. As of 2013, the county has a population of 73340. The county has a total area of 644 square miles, 632 square miles of which is land, and 12 square miles is water. The county consists of 17 ZIP codes, with ZIP code 95901 recorded as the one with the largest population. Yuba County borders the following counties: Butte County, CA to the north; Placer County, CA to the south; Nevada County, CA to the east; Sutter County, CA to the west, and; Sierra and Plumas County, CA to the northeast.

Yuba County Clerk Information

The County Clerk is responsible for issuing marriage licenses, performing civil marriage ceremonies, filing Fictitious Business Name Statements, processing professional registrations to include Process Servers, issuing certified copies of vital records and filing specific environmental documents. The Recorder, on the other hand, records all the documents required by law to be recorded.

Copies of these records may be obtained in person, by mail (certified copy requests received by mail must include a signed sworn statement with the signature acknowledged by a notary public. Requests must also include a self addressed stamped envelope), or online. For customer convenience, the Yuba County Clerk has partnered with an independent company, VitalChek Network Inc., through which an order may be processed. The website provides the applications for the certified copies of vital records.
