Garland County, Arkansas

Garland County is found in the State of Arkansas, and its seat is Hot Springs. It has an approximated population of 96,024, according to the 2010 census. The county has the first property to be protected under federal legislation in U.S history. This property is the Hot Springs National Park. Garland County covers an estimated area of 735 square miles.

The Circuit Clerk acts as the ex-officio recorder of the criminal, juvenile, domestic relations, and civil courts in Garland County. The clerk’s primary duty is the maintenance of records of court proceedings in all the divisions of the Circuit Court. In addition, as the county’s ex-officio recorder, the circuit clerk has the responsibility of maintaining records of liens, mortgages, deeds and other orders.

Since the County Clerk is considered the probate court’s clerk, he or she has the responsibility of filing all the instruments. These records are considered important in asset cases. In addition, the county clerk maintains other public records such as guardianship and adoption information.

In Garland County, the Vital Records Department maintains records of birth, marriage, death and divorce. It is the department that processes certificate copies if requested by a client. The request can both be done in person and online. In order to place an online request for any of these documents, a client goes to VitalCheck and places his or her request.
