Located in the state of Arkansas, Fulton County has a population of about 12,245, according to the US Census Bureau. Salem is the county seat of Fulton County, Arkansas, United States, and it is also the largest community. Fulton County was formed on December 21, 1842, and named for William Fulton, the last governor of the Arkansas Territory. It is an alcohol prohibition or dry county.
