Yuma County is located in the southwest corner of Arizona. It is bordered by the Colorado River to the southwest, separating it from California and Mexico. It is one of the four original counties in the state, and the county seat is also named Yuma. This large county covers an area of 5,519 square miles in the Sonoran Desert.
