Pinal County, Arizona

Pinal County is located in the central part of the state of Arizona. It was formed out of neighboring Pima County and Maricopa County on February 1, 1875. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a population of approximately 375,770 people and a total area of 5,374 square miles, making it the third-most populous county in Arizona. Pinal County was the second fastest growing county in the U.S. between 2000 and 2010; its county seat is Florence. It borders the following counties:  Maricopa County to the west, Gila County to the north, Graham County to the east, and Pima County to the south.

Virginia Ross is the Pinal County Recorder as of 2015. The county recorder is responsible for maintaining all public records in the county, including but not limited to deeds of conveyance of real property, deeds of trust/mortgages, deeds of release/conveyance, military discharge, maps and liens. Before requesting public records, keep in mind the following details:

  • Document images are available from February 6, 1998.
  • The search range for maps is from March 13, 1885 to present.
  • Images obtained are in PDF format and are branded with the “unofficial copy” watermark.
