Pickens County is located in the U.S. state of Alabama. The county was formed in 1820 and named after Andrew Pickens, a General in the Revolutionary War. The county seat is Carrollton. Pickens County Revenue Commissioner’s Office Information
The responsibility of the Pickens County Revenue Commissioner includes mapping, recording, appraising and assessing new and existing properties in the county, and collecting property taxes according to the assessments.
Property taxes are due on October 1 and must be paid within or before December 31 to avoid late fees. You may come to the Revenue Commissioner’s Office located at 50 Court Square, Room 101 of the Probate Building, Carrollton, AL 35447 and pay your taxes in person.
