Juab County Overview
Established in 1852 and named for the Native American word meaning thirsty valley, Juab County, Utah had a population of 10,246 as of the 2010 census. The county seat, Nephi is also the largest community. The total area of the county is 3,392 square miles of land, plus 14 square miles of water. Adjacent counties include one in Nevada, White Pine to the west. And the remaining border counties are all in Utah: Tooele to the north, Utah to the northeast, Millard to the south, and Sanpete to the east. The county is also home to nationally and state protected areas: Yuba State Park, Unita-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Fishlake National Forest, and Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge.
