Multnomah County is located in the northwest region of Oregon. The county was created in 1854 from parts of Washington County and Clackamas County. Its name is derived from the Chinook word that means “lower river.” The county seat is Portland which is also the largest city in the state. The total area of the county is only 466 square miles but it has around 799,766 residents (2016 census), making it the most populated county in Oregon. Multnomah County is bordered in the north by Columbia County, Clark County (Washington), and Skamania County (Washington); in the east by Hood River County; in the south by Clackamas County; and in the west by Washington County. Multnomah Court Records Information
Copies of court records can be requested from Room 131. A Records Request Form must be submitted if you request copies of court records through the mail. The cost of a copy is $0.25 per page. For a certified copy, the cost is $5 for the certification plus the per page copy. For an exemplified copy, the cost is $10 plus the per page copy charge.
